Quite an interesting post from a sometimes prison inmate, on what he and others read when inside:

Thank the FSM that idiotic program got suspended/cancelled! Milking prisoners’ families and depriving prisoners of books and warm clothing (in NY state!) is no way for a civilized society to behave.

I just finished the best book I've read in at least a decade! It's called "The Terror" by Dan Simmons & it's a historical horror novel based on the Arctic exploration disaster in the mid 1800's with HMS Terror & HMS Erebus trying to find the Northwest Passage. It's 946 pages of great reading! Don't let the size of it deter you - it's worth every page!

If history or horror are your thing don't pass up this book. Dan Simmons really did his research to get the details right. Oh and on March 26th it comes out as a series on AMC channel produced by Ridley Scott.
