This all may be of interest only to me. But I'm a Core Baby and am going to write about the Second Life sims named after colors and streets or alleys in San Fransisco. These are the "original" simulators that were added to The Grid All Hail The Central Grid during Beta through the release of client version 1.2, in January 2004, when the tier model was implemented. These thoughts will be randomly arranged. This is your only warning.

Let us begin with a few odd facts:
  • These sims are mixed PG, now referred to as "general," and M(ature), now referred to as "moderate;"
  • They generally allow forty (40) meter terraforming as a grandfathered feature;
  • Land in Jessie, configured as the first "combat" sim, is permanently set to damage enabled;
  • Boardman and Brown have residential building restrictions defined but very loosely enforced at this point;
  • Boardman and Brown also have terraforming permanently disabled;
  • Plum, now a sandbox, has always had its water height set at thirty-one (31) meters;
  • Some sims have various land texture settings that display grass, rather than dirt, at the standard twenty (20) meter water level;

Entries will consist of historical information, as remembered and interpreted by me, as well as current conditions. Builds and communities will be pictured, with comments, whether or not they still exist. This is going to be fun.
