Parents of a five year old boy obtained a rifle for their child. The product's name is "My first rifle," and the company that markets it has a part of their website called "Kids Corner." From the news descriptions this particular rifle is a single shot rifle with a child safety.

Earlier today, in Illinois, a man broke into the home of a mother and shot and killed five people. The suspect in the crime was later killed by police. I do not know what the answer is to stop this madness, and I realize that a total ban on firearms is neither realistic nor appropriate, but something has to change.
