Overload

Posted 05-06-2009 at 05:24 PM by Cristiano

I have a problem. Lately, I find myself on total overload. There are so many things I want to be doing - I have a bunch of stuff I want to add to Snapzilla, I have a new project I want to work on, I'm working on a video game for the XBOX 360, and now Eboni has goaded me into doing some new stuff in Poser. Yet, I start a project and find myself totally blocked on most fronts. I accomplish a little bit and then stop. I feel like my attention span is nil - I jump from one thing to another. I hope I can find my focus again, not having it is making me very unhappy.

I have the same problem, although somewhat mutated. I spend more time thinking about all the projects I want to be doing, than I seem to spend getting them done. But that might have something to do with the job I have which supports my ridiculous SL habit.

Feel your pain, Cris (though that is precious little help). Too many things I want to do, am doing, plan to do, etc. Not enough time and energy to do even a portion. So I start something, then "oooh! SHINY!" I'm off somewhere else.

I probably can't tell you anything you don't already know, except make a list, prioritize it, then tackle the first thing on the list until you run into a snag. Then go to item 2. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

Oh, but BTW: Be sure to put "Eat" "Sleep" "Goof Off" and such on the list, and prioritize them highly

I get overloaded too easily, so I'm not one to be able to offer much help other than hugs.

When you get bored with one, switch to another, and keep switching until one keeps your interest. Eventually you will find that you are almost done with all of them.

Although, with development, it never really ends, does it?
