*sigh* ok ... I really don't like what LL is doing to improve "the experience during peak concurrency." I know I'm being selfish, but I'm a hostess and i take a lot of pride in what I do for my club (employer). I boost traffic by providing customer service and offering people adds to our group. But I can't do customer service properly or add people to the group who I can't identify and check through their profiles! It seems to be a marvelous improvement in service to reduce us to chattering icons of our former selves in the name of allowing ever higher concurrency (mostly of alts) to make the graphs look good. I think a better idea would be to initiate a 2-tier system of login; 1) would be premium members who get in first because we're actually PAYING to play, and 2) would be the basic account holders who can come in IF there's room. The basic account holder's logins would be throttled to allow sufficient room for paying players.

Ok, you can go ahead and flame me now (lol) I don't mind. But cutting back on services to those inworld just seems rediculous.

What do you plan to do this weekend? My plans include:

1. I want to explore somewhere NEW in SL. Something intriguing. Something out of the ordinary. Maybe something a little shocking could work too, because a shock to the system can be fun, right? I want something that's both mentally stimulating AND gives me goosebumps. Do I have high expectations? You bet I do, which might explain why I an constantly on the prowl!

2. People watch (and get outfit ideas)! I just adore watching people and seeing what they wear and what they do. I have spent hours at O'Hare airport doing this RL (yes homeland Security looks at me strangely lol), and it's a hobby I can't leave out of my SL. In fact this is how I put together outfits and ideas for clothes to buy; I see a blouse I love on one person, then I'll see some shoes I fall in love with on another person ... and maybe a skirt or really hot jeans or pants on another. In my mind I'm constantly assembling outfits this way. Sheesh I almost never wear off the rack ensembles any more.

3. Dancing ... this is something I do tons of in SL lol. And my fav Jazz club has shops now too so I can also free up some lindens and get some nice new rags to hang on myself if the vendors have all the assorted pieces I'll be looking for lol.

It's the weekend ! ! ! ! time to have fun. Ok, it'll be the weekend in about 6 hours (danged RL work just drags on Friday lol) but then LOOKOUT SL ! ! !

Catch me inworld and we can have some fun!

Business is a pleasure

Wow! ! ! What a week already! Just three days complete into the week and already so much has changed for my SL (hehe) and so much has been marvelous to discover.

Over the weekend and into this week the Jazz Club I work at in SL (go read my profile ~wink~) decided to take the plunge (no not that kind of plunge silly!) and put in some shops. It was a tough decision for my best friend, but times being what they are, what with lots of people cheating on their traffic #'s with bots, the plunge was unavoidable I suppose.

It's not bad though, in fact it's been really fun helping as I could while the build went on and I learned tons from what I've watched (we all love watching each other don't we? hehe). And the enthusiasm of the vendors has been such a great thing. It warms your heart the way people react when you almost don't expect it.

And there's been tons of things to watch going on too! People watching is one of my favorite sports, second only to chatting endlessly about whatever we can think of. I've seen a marvelous blues show by a really handsome DJ ... he did a great show in a great venue ... and I've met so many really cute guys and girls this week including some marvelously different avatar styles and RP genres. Aren't you just thrilled at all the possibilities when you meet someone who's inventive and literate and wants to engage you in banter and interaction?! I know I love it.

Well ... only two more days before the weekend and goodness knows what wild and crazy things we'll all discover if we just tap each others imaginations. Wanna tap? [wink] I know I do!

More mindless blogging from the blogette soon,

Wow what a weekend! Friday night I had a great time dancing my legs off just like planned. Jazz clubs are great places for meeting and getting to know one another in a safe and sane way. I prefer the smaller venues more than the big laggy clubs, maybe because I work for one, but more I think because without all the lag you can actually keep track of who else is around so you can expand your conversation ring.

Saturday was great too ... I adore Saturday's because they aren't tainted like Fridays with work. Sundays are great too, but they carry some apprehension because you know the weekend is almost over. This past Saturday was awesome because I got to spend some time with a bunch of close friends and watch a couple of them becoming more romantically involved; I just love the lustiness and fawning of fresh attractions lol. And the Easter egg hunts were fun too.

Sunday was a challenge (notice abrupt change in attitude). Three hours on the phone with LL trying to convince them theat my firewall was NOT the reason i couldn't log into SL. In fairness the support tech I dealt with was awesome and understanding and really went the extra mile to help me. In the end LL was convinced that it wasn't my firewalls problem when they used my credentials to try to log in as me and found out they couldn't access SL either (I truly enjoyed their admission of guilt). but they finally got my account fixed and got me inworld ... only to have a repeat lock-out in the late afternoon; sigh.

On balance though it was a fun weekend. And I'm really looking forward to tonight and more dancing. If you find me inworld please ask me to dance ... I promise to say yes.

It's been a heckuva day all around. My feet ache and for some ungodly reason I'm really excited and looking forward to slipping my avatar toes into a pair of stilettos, my tushy into a hot salsa dress and strutting around a club attracting guys like flies to a flame. Dance, dance, dance guys but save yourselves for Ms Right ... I'm only occasionally Ms Right-for-Tonight ;) and never for ever.

See y'all inworld for some light hearted romance and dancing ! ! ! ! It's casual Friday in my little world.
