After a prolonged coma, and years of rehabilitation, I came to Second Life, to look into a possible "window to the world". I was disabled, and had a poor self image, after a lifetime career in Martial Arts and Dog Training. I learned something in Second Life, that I will share. I worked on my first Windows 7 machine tonight--previously I had only gotten to mess with Windows 7 at stores and get little demonstrations of it by friends--and I must say, as there are really great things about it, there are irritating things about it as well, but as there were ways around the irritating things about Vista, I'm sure there will be ways around these things too:

1. There is no *real* quick launch anymore unless you create a new toolbar and dig for the hidden folder--if...

Parents of a five year old boy obtained a rifle for their child. The product's name is "My first rifle," and the company that markets it has a part of their website called "Kids Corner." From the news descriptions this particular rifle is a single shot rifle with a child safety.

I'm not at home right now. I'm typing this from the family area, some might call it the "living" quarters, of a room in a hospice facility in New England. I woke around 3:30am, but it's long past that time now. For some reason, I have always enjoyed the whole genre of games that involve food preparation and serving. At their heart, they are really just matching games anyway. A type of game I generally don't enjoy, however, is known as Hidden Object games. They generally have a scene with a bunch of stuff in it that you have to find.
