It goes live as soon as the Viewer is being listed in the TPVD along with some possibly new Viewers. I know that it's already accepted, it is only waiting for those other Viewers atm and Oz said it can't take that long anymore and should go TPVD on Monday if not sooner. |

That's my default (not in the Viewer because many GPU's wouldn't handle it well i suppose). Depth of Field was disabled because it likes to annoy in such camera flythroughs. Screen Space Reflections was enabled. Craptacular Sunshafts was enabled. (only activatable via shader change, there is no UI switch) Draw Distance was set to 768m. Vignette Strength was set to 0.8. Blue Galaxy (custom) Windlight Preset was used. The rest was plain default with everything enabled including Tone Mapping and Color Correction. |

Client: Firestorm 4.4.2.xxx | Nice view! The other day I had the 2.3.9.6. And I was still missing the light reflections on Linden water. I have some nice torches at my beach, and allways enjoyed the midnight ambiente, thus I missed this. I checked other viewers, incl latest FS, and all didn't show the reflections. Earlier releases did. So I filed a Jira at Firestormviewer.org, and the result was: Linden viewer no longer supports this, cauz of performance-weight. And the Firestorm team seams to not fix this. At the other hand, my PC is running Win7-64 at AMD FX4170, 8GB Mushkin @ 1996, Nvidia GTX650. There never was any performance issue at ultra settings, including reflections... Back to FS 4.4.2xxxx the reflections are still visible. My question is: could you please reactivate this nice feature in your viewer?

app_settings/shaders/class2 and open softenLightF.glsl remove #if GODRAYS and its end #endif at line 376/402 & 743/746 and save the file. Quote:
Ohdear god they really did...*hacks it back in*... it even looks like they added an offset to reflections...you can see that when looking from top down on a light source... the light on water is off... anyway... heres the original: heres my hacky reimplement + no offset: Last edited by NiranV Dean; 04-07-2014 at 08:46 AM.

All you would have to do to "hack" this in as well is go to my Sourcecode website and search for the commit i did to re-add them, then do it yourself (it's only a simple shader change as well and could be done with a halfway decent text editor prog). This change is not live yet, so don't even waste time searching but i can link it here when i push these changes.

My Mood: ![]() Client: Black Dragon, FS, SL Viewer | I like this look Niran. One of the things that I have always liked about your viewer is the clean and open real estate, and this is very clean. Not crazy about the "paint brush" look up top, I like your hexagon scales much better. |

I have a hexagon fetish but I really like that this gets away with removing the top bar. If you don't like the brush effect you can always transparent the texture, too. ![]()

Client: Official, Various RCs, Marines,Firestorm - for testing stuff. BlackDragon - For everything else. | me like! I'd probably prefer the option to have a clean rectangular bg on the topbar items, possibly fading out smoothly rather than with the paintbrush effect but the brush effect sure wouldn't be a dealbreaker. To my eye it just looks "untidy" and draws the eye to the edges of the topbar and coords display rather than keeping them unnoticed until you need to look at them. Not going to gripe at it if it's part of the price for the next version, though. |
