Adeon. You're the best. Asking for OS on a Windows ONLY Viewer. You make me laugh every day

It's her browser doing this. I heard all browsers other than Chrome do this.

Had a few people using Chrome for the download and it worked. Really strange... and since i use Chrome as my default browser i didn't have any problems either.

Last night, Internet Explorer was giving the DL a weird extension ("[a").
Turned out that Opera DL'ed it just fine.

Windows 7 64 bit Service Pack 1 installed, Internet Explorer v. 11.0.9600.17126 - no luck downloading.

Well it downloaded it as BlackDragon2.3.9.9A[1].

After I enabled the display of file extensions and put a ".exe" behind it, the installer just started as it should be.

Must be an Internet Explorer Issue with Bitbucket.

Same thing btw with Windows 8.1 Ultimate and Internet Explorer v. 11 there (new, default install with no configuration done by me whatsoever)!

I do recommend switching the download section over to Sourceforge or another, similar service which does not have those issues.

Niran, can I put in a plea for a 2.4 feature? I'd really like to be able to turn OFF the sending of look-at crosshairs.

More control would be better, but I know you've said before you won't implement visualizing the look-at, but at the very least, just a simple toggle? Even a debug setting?

Lately, I've had several "you're camming me!" incidents, partly because I don't know where I left my camera focus last, and I'm zoomed out to see a whole area/dance floor/club.

This is something you can control by editing the attentions.xml file in your viewer directory. See this Torley tutorial: Show Look At - Second Life Wiki.

Admittedly this isn't as convenient as having control from the viewer interface where you can turn it on and of at will, but it's better in that you can turn off specific look at aspects and, for instance, look all innocent while perving to your heart's content.

Which shit have they done?

Look, the thing seems to be a Bitbucket issue, if you are using the latest and greatest Internet Explorer that don't goes away until they fix it sometimes. The download rates at Bitbucket are also quite slow from time to time, I saw today around 40-50 kbyte/s at maximum.

Sourceforge on the other hand has a world wide spanning net of mirrors as CDN, which is able to deliver the downloads at a good speed in a reliable way.

Another possibility: make your own torrent for the download.

Not sure what exactly it was they did, but it turned me away from their site, the other thing was their extremely low download speed and their really laggy/slow website loading from time to time. I had it very often that Sourceforge didn't even work at all for me so i couldn't upload new versions. Mega as example would be a good download alternative but i have to take a look about this whole TPV policy thing if there's anything written about that.

I'm sorry but i will not include an option to hide your look-at. This is a problem much deeper than just fixing it by turning it off.

You and everyone else would do me and probably certain other people a favor by going on a war with Firestorm and all "Show Look-at name labels" including Viewers. I was on a meeting about this very particular feature and sadly all i got was a huge rant by Jessica Lyon who was unable to see that they are causing trouble with their feature, they do not want to remove it as it serves too much as a helpful feature, that's what they said. I don't believe anything of it, not a single bit. I have never seen this feature being used for anything good, it causes trouble and it is not me causing the trouble, it is them causing this trouble by having the ability to show other people's name over their look-at's, this is privacy invasion in my mind and i do not tolerate it. By including a toggle to turn your look-at off they get exactly what they want, they make me as third party person sit down and play a sub puppy, not to mention that it isn't the point of these look-at's to be hidden, right? The only real way to fix this issue is making Firestorm and all other Viewers who support this unnecessary and trouble causing feature remove it and not use it anymore, why you may ask, why not just including a toggle? They cause a problem with their Viewer for everyone else without a countermeasure and they want everyone else to fix it for themselves as if they don't care about anyone else. I think this is on par with implementing a certain special type of crasher in my Viewer causing every other Viewer to crash who doesn't fix it, like spamming certain messages/requests etc. I hope you get an idea of why i don't like so many things Firestorm does.

I understand your point, but the reality is a work-around by others IS necessary, given the issues raised, and the different ways people relate to the cursor.

One friend loves the cursors; she says they tickle. She's a bit of an exhibitionist; I wouldn't want to spoil her fun.

I can edit the attentions.xml file referred to above, and be happy. And "perv to [my] heart's content."

That is your thing then, i like to cam wherever i want and actually i usually try to provoke people to IM me so i can unleash a shitstorm on them, sadly i'm often in SIMs where everyone knows me anyway so they don't care :/ but god bless when i get one, you really don't want to be near me when i go super asshole mode suddenly.

I cam wherever I want and if my "crosshairs" bother someone, it's because they made them exist where there was nothing, not my problem they choose to see them.

I'd just rather not have various ambiguous motives applied when people think they know where I'm looking.
