so after some heavy depressions i tried out something much more happy... the 360 snapshot viewer, needless to say that this will be a really cool feature when its done.

Black Dragon - Update 2.6.3

Code:
Added: Huge UI size option for 4k display resolution.
Added: Option to toggle Environment Map on shiny surfaces in Deferred Rendering.
Changed: Made the blue badge loadingscreen tip a bit more clear.
Changed: Animation time and type for opening/closing the display tabs in preferences.
Changed: Allow webpages to be scaled with UI size again. Ugh.
Changed: Version to 2.6.3.
Fixed: Sunlight reflections are missing with SSR on. Thanks to Cynder Starfall for making me look into it.
Fixed: Gestures can't be deactivated via inventory right click menu entry "deactivate".
Fixed: IM/Groupchat chatbar doing weird stuff and bugging out with multiline enabled.
Misc: Cleanup.

With the next update i'll appear as "friend" in everyone's friendlist who's using Black Dragon, my entry will always be sorted to the top, regardless of if i'm in your friendlist for real or not or if i'm online or not. My entry is also decorated with a special badge to highlight its special case.

This is by no means a permanent thing, it doesn't involve creating any items in your inventory or anything like that, it's a simple "faked" friendlist entry that is being added on filling your friendlist, it will make contacting the developer (me) as easy as contacting anyone in your friendlist, because... heh i'll be in your friendlist too, always at the top. It goes without saying that switching to another Viewer will "remove" this entry, so the entry will only be visible if i'm in your friendlist for real or if you are using my Viewer.

Added: Show me as fake, temporary, permission-less friendlist entry in case the user doesn't have me in his friendlist to make contacting me easy.
Added: Use a special background and show a Viewer badge with tooltip on my friendlist entry to show that i'm the developer.
Changed: Made Tone Mapping and Color Correction default.
Changed: Left Shoulder and Right Shoulder camera preset look height angle.
Changed: Commented out some save snapshot code on Viewer cleanup. Unused.
Changed: Enable projector shadow toggle only if the light is a projector.
Changed: Don't show ourselves in the nearby avatar list.
Changed: Sorting to sort me (the developer) always at the top.
Changed: People panel nearby, friendlist, group, blocked and recent layouts to fix a huge bunch of minor icon clippings.
Changed: Blocked object icon size to prevent it from appearing washed out due to being scaled bigger than the texture size.
Changed: Show permission code, made it fire the entire block only if necessary.
Changed: Moderator/Developer chat tag code, compacted it.
Fixed: Several snapshot text boxes using hardly readable text colors.
Fixed: IM Chat line editor too high with multi-line disabled after fix for multi-line.
Fixed: German translation for the "Set Cache" button.
Fixed: Group icons being slightly cut off on the right in group chat toasts.

Well i can translate it for you:

Vector2 is used for the projector shadow debug because there are two projector shadows available therefor a Vector2 containing 2 values (shadow resolution in this case) is enough.

Fix for an issue reported by a friend who kept getting this message because he put the Viewer on his second monitor which has a different DPI scaling than the first monitor, since the Viewer automatically opens on the first monitor it throws this message all the time and its annoying.

It's done. Now to clean up.



Infinite alternative binds possible, every action is bindable as many times as you want, you can even make the same binding over and over again if you so desire, also multi-select delete.

No like seriously. I said i'm done with active development. I stopped blogging about updates and i stopped actively working on the Viewer, i just collect my mood every once in a while after 1-2 weeks to work on the next update for a few hours and that's basically every single update so far, except something goes wrong like it did with the keybindings stuff so it took me 3 whole days to get it done.

I spent a lot of time and energy just trying to get them to improve the camera placement and fix the incorrectly displayed height in the appearance editor.

LL has not been able to fix these two things in the 15+ years they've been in business. I've even seen other Lindens say "Yeah, those should be fixed." So at this point I can only assume there is no one at LL capable enough to fix these issues.

It might have something to do with not wanting to burden their support staff with having to explain why the camera view looks all wonky to the average user.

1. Hardly wonky. The word you are looking for is "correct". What we got now is wonky. Your camera 3 meters above your avatar is simply shit design and just look at what it did with buildings... last time someone went into my bunker (a few days ago) they complained that the ceiling was not high enough for their crap default camera. I told them to fix their camera.

2. Burden their support? You mean that same support that gives a fuck about whatever you report them no matter how important it is unless you are premium? Right. They could use something to do for a change.
