SL Join Date: December 2007 Client: Nirans Viewer & Firestorm | Niran, the notices layout do not appear to scale per window size. When you resize archived notices the layout for the free text box resizes to the window size which makes reading the text much easier, however the input fields do not scale they are at a fixed small size, "Subject" Attachments etc remain at the static size. When composing a new Notice using the "New Notice" option none of the fields scale and they are even smaller than the archived notice layout. "Subject", "Message" and Attach are really small. This is after a completely clean install of 1.35 |

Business: Happy Bivouac/Milk&Cream | I'm still experiencing the issue of sounds not playing, also more and more I'm running into the issue of mesh not rendering even tho I've raised MeshMaxConcurrency up to about 200.

| ![]() it works, thankies Niran!! I first tried to copy the slvoice.exe from firestorm into the nirans folder, but that didnt work. Then I just started up Nirans viewer, alt-tabbed out, stopped the slvoice service with the task manager. And started up the slvoice.exe from the firestorm folder. I had to toggle the voice sound settings off and on again, but then I had a dot yaaay ![]() thanks again, so glad it works! Pan |

Client: Nirans or development daily build | [QUOTE=NiranV Dean;1552947@Shrike , i guess you and all others are aware of Problems LL had and still seems to have sometimes , i havnt encountered this bug yet , but as Da5id already noticed , those warnings clearly say that the session <UUID> does not exist , that sounds like LL Problems[/QUOTE] The issue is that when groupchat screws up (a LL problem, as you say) the viewer doesnt react gracefully. The warning for "session doesnt exist" should trigger a cleanup action on that session, resetting it to the same state as if you'd never interacted with that group since you logged in. If session <uuid> doesnt exist, forget everything about that session because it aint there for you. Get rid of the IM tab, eliminate the chicklet, go back to the state right before the message that triggered the warning came in. That way when you get a new incoming message from the grp you make a new attempt to establish the session and maybe that one works - instead of the group being totally hosed until you relog and reset the session data that way. This bug does not exist in the official viewer - when I see those warnings in my log for the official viewer I get the popup saying "could not establish session with... " and can close the group and retry. |

My Mood: SL Join Date: 6th Jan. 2007 Client: Nirans Viewer 2.x Blog Entries: 12 | No Eboni , im not a Rendering Coder sorry , i cant fix it myself , open a Jira , tell Runatai about it or give the link me i will pass it to Runatai , maybe he will fix it @Da5id , my Viewer is mostly based on Linden Viewer , there hasnt been changes on Group system neither by me nor by Linden lately , but as you explained , closing group and reopening fixed all problems (not those you are experiencing - havnt had those yet) for me so far , meaning for that too im sorry that this behavior occours , im not able to fix this , i cannot even repro it nor did anyone else report this behavior , so i guess its something user specific again... with more and more users using my Viewer , more and more problems occour which most of them i cannot reproduce nor find out what causes them , im trying to keep up everywhere and fix bugs as good as possible but it seems that im slowly drowning in overhelming needed support... :/ Last edited by NiranV Dean; 05-09-2012 at 07:40 PM. |

SL Join Date: December 2007 Client: Nirans Viewer & Firestorm | Niran, is this the triangular flashing that appears whenever any mesh is rendered, if so that's awesome. Love the new layout for the group notices, thanks for acting on suggestion Keep up the good work. |

| I figured out how to do what I need to do: keep 1.31 for the animated trees, and follow your progress with the latest viewer (and the broken-by-Linden-Lab trees). I have two folders on my desktop: 1_31_User_Settings and 1_36_User_Settings. I've installed the viewers in two separate \Program Files folders. I have two separate shortcuts, one for each viewer. When I want to use a different viewer from the one I used last, I move all the user settings from \Users\Govi\AppData\Roaming\Nirans Viewer\user_settings into the appropriate folder on my desktop. Then, from the other desktop folder, the one for the viewer I want to use, I move all the settings files from it into \Users\Govi\AppData\Roaming\Nirans Viewer\user_settings folder for your viewer. Then I'm good to go. This procedure allows one to use as many different of your viewer versions as one might want. |

Business: Happy Bivouac/Milk&Cream | There really ought to be some kinda pop-up notification for achievements. Kinda like in Steam how a little notice tab pops up in the upper right hand corner of the screen with the achievement name, icon and description. I mean, if you're going to do achievements, might as well do them right. ^^; (Tho, this being SL, I'd make it an option you could toggle on or off.) I'm sure you've got more achievements in mind already but a few off the top of my head; Rezzing a prim for the first time. (You've got (ply)wood!) Deleting a prim for the first time. Rezzing/creating a scripted object for the first time. (It's alive!) Reaching the highest altitude you can fly at! Reaching the old highest altitude you used to be able to fly at! Flying for the first time (It's a bird! It's a plane!) I'd even toss in a few achievements for visiting certain sims. Either of historical value (Ahern, Da Boom) or just because they're really neat. Maybe some tutorial sims like NCI locations or the Particle Laboratory. I know some people would cry FIC at that, but this is a TPV and you might as well have fun with it. There's plenty of amazing sims a lot of people never see. |
