SL Join Date: December 2007 Client: Nirans Viewer & Firestorm | How do you do this on 1.34, the windlight settings don't take effect until you select them using enter unless I am missing something, you cannot see the effect of the selected windlight from the edit sky preset until you press enter? |

SL Join Date: December 2007 Client: Nirans Viewer & Firestorm | Have to say with SSAO enabled, full shadows and lighting the image quality from the improved rendering is simply unbelievable. Keep up the great work Niran, 1.34 is pretty damn awesome! |

| Where are the settings normally located? And does it mean that I have to put all the buttons back, fiddle with all the IM settings, etc.? Most times, with ALL viewers, I just can't bear the hunt for all the things I customize to make SL work in a way that is acceptable. Your viewer is probably the most customizable, so I have the most work to restore it.

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Nirans Viewer\user_settings btw thanks to Geenz at Exodus we might also enjoy Tone Mapping in Future not just in Exodus and not just for Snapshot usage ![]() ![]() |

| Ok, deleted settings, installed 1.34 again; struggling through every niggling thing to get it back to something that doesn't drive me nuts, hunting for each and every setting as the viewer supplies some new annoyance that I usually have turned off but now have to turn off again after hunting for it through reconfigured preference selections... And then, it occurred to me, the whole point of this is to see trees. So I went to where I have some trees. I could see them, but they weren't moving. So, I set renderanimatetrees to TRUE and still no motion. So, walking closer to the copse of trees, one kind of tree disappeared. So, I fiddled with RenderTreeLODFactor and they all disappeared. Set it back to the default (it was and now is 0.500), and all trees are still gone. It's ironic that here in RL, we're having a tree man here today to estimate for us the cost of some tree trimming that needs doing. That notwithstanding, my LL trees are still basically gone. This is all making my head ache. I'm going back to 1.29 and staying there. Thanks for trying for me. |

| I thought you loved it, too! It's still a Debug Setting. Something sooo beautiful, particularly with shadows, and pfffft! Gone, no one cares. Well, I do. FFS, it's not that big a deal to leave a working thing in. I'll even put up with having to set it in the Debug Settings if it must be hidden from users in Preferences. Why get rid of something so beautiful that works? It boggles the mind. Es ist Wahnsinn. |

My Mood: SL Join Date: Oct 8th 2009 Client: Niran's Viewer | 1.34 settings not staying "set"... Ok, so I fired up 1.34, and went straight at it. Aside from a slight decrease in FPS (not a drastic decrease, just barely noticable) everything else seems fine: teleport warp is really cool, the new menus are set up quite nicely. As usual, the viewer is top-notch and exactly what I'd expect. One problem, and I'm not sure if it's even a real problem. After initially setting up the "Transparency/color" menu to exactly how I had it in 1.32, I restarted the viewer. Although the settings seem to have taken effect, the "Transparency/color" settings register as all set back to the default "1.000". The panels that I've set to certain transparencies are in fact looking the way they should, but the settings panel still registers everything at 1.000. I should add, this same problem was there in 1.33 for me as well. It's not killing me or anything, just one of those things that makes me wonder if there's a problem on my end that I'm missing. The install is a clean one: cleared every trace of the viewer from all directories, re-formatted the cache partition, etc.

Business: Happy Bivouac/Milk&Cream | Slight issue. If you accidentally click "home" or some other accidental teleport and decide to cancel...you wind up in an LSD "Fear and Loathing" trip through the seedy underbelly of Second Life Tron Christmas Edition!

| That looks like the underwater distortion of a build that would benefit from turning off the viewer's underwater distortion. When TPs fail for me, I sometimes find my avatar dumped underwater and a distance from where I had initiated my TP. |

It was fun walking across a crowded room like that "try to look normal, try to look normal, try to looOHMYGODWHATARETHESEANIMALS?" Would be amazingly great if we could script effects like that. Imagine having drinks at a club, the more you drink the brighter the lights get, the more wobbly and distorted the camera gets. Or a horror sim where, as tension builds, so does the FOV? Or just applying Niran's teleport effect to in-world teleporters.

| I don't see the alpha bug that you're seeing, Niran. What/where is it? A different question. I want to keep following the development of your viewer, so I want to create two installations on my hard drive, the current one and my trusty v. 1.29. At the moment, it seems they share the same location for settings.xml. Is there a way to get the two installations to use different settings or settings locations? What should I do to have the two be independent installations--I know about separating caches, directories, separate shortcuts, etc., but the settings.xml is a problem I don't know how to solve. |

Business: Bella Pointe Client: Exodus | Release seems great so far, found one teeny little bug. If you select to autohide the top bar from preferences, and then right on click on the top bar and uncheck the favorite bar, after it hides and then you mouse over to bring it back, the favorites bar reappears everytime. |

Business: Shabby Tabby Client: All of the above | Niran, I love the new viewer! It is so beautiful...and stable! Especially while building. Which leads me to a question- Is there any possibility of getting advanced building tools (ie. copy+paste parameters, position, size, rotation and texture)? Sorry if this is the wrong place for questions or suggestions! |

| Hello wanna start by saying the viewer is really amazing!sadly I have one problem wich is apperently is exclusive to just the Nirans viewer and that my voice isnt working somehow. My log shows the following things: 2012-05-06T21:18:57Z INFO: LLVivoxVoiceClient::sessionRemovedEvent: handle 35502 2012-05-06T21:18:57Z WARNING: LLVivoxVoiceClient::leftAudioSession: left session 35502 in state stateSessionTerminated 2012-05-06T21:18:57Z INFO: LLVivoxVoiceClient::sessionCreateResponse: Session.Create response received (success), session handle is 35507 2012-05-06T21:18:57Z WARNING: LLVivoxProtocolParser: rocessResponse: Unknown event type SessionGroupUpdatedEvent2012-05-06T21:18:57Z INFO: LLVivoxVoiceClient::sessionAddedEvent: session sip:confctl-5483464@bhr.vivox.com, alias , name handle 35507 2012-05-06T21:18:57Z WARNING: LLVivoxVoiceClient::mediaStreamUpdatedEvent: unknown state 6 2012-05-06T21:18:57Z WARNING: LLVivoxVoiceClient::mediaStreamUpdatedEvent: unknown state 7 this then get repeated all over again. Im not getting this with other viewers (Lindens and Firestorm), and voice works fine with those. I tried de-installing all viewers, clearing the roaming profile, ect. But that didnt help. Its really a shame, hope this can be fixed somehow because I prefer the prettier pictures of Nirans and hate to switch to another viewer if someone wants to talk to me. thanks! Pan |

SL Join Date: March 23, 2008 Client: Firestorm, Phoenix, Niran's | Hi, been using this viewer for a while now for snapshots and it's amazing! I'd like to make a suggestion though. Could you please add a collapse button to the inventory window? This would be very useful, instead of having to click "X" everytime i search for something in my inventory. |

Niran is there any chance you can work your magic and take a look at the group options for sending group notifications. The layout for sending group messages/notices is very cramped and a waste of layout space
