non of both happend xD , my HD just "plop´d" , nothing happend , i was compiling the viewer when suddenly the compiler said "cant write X to Y because the path doesnt exist anymore" and everything started to freeze until everything (even desktop was bright white) was frozen , restart and Windows didnt boot anymore , i tried recovery and all kinds of stuff until i noticed that my HD is not detected anymore...

but somehow i dont care , i mean 2 TB of games , progs , videos , snapshots , source , pictures and textures , meshes , sculpts , savegames etc ... everything gone but somehow i dont care about it :/ might be my overall "i dont care about life" that makes me not care about such things

i created a fix button that disabled the drag area so we can fix floaters at their current position until we unfix them , good for IM Sessions which often accidentally get dragged or clicked and then undocked

I kinda hoped you'd just replace the "help" button. I can't count then umber of times I've hit that unintentionally but I do know that that the exact number of times I've clicked the help icon intentionally is 0.

Of course, I'm not sure how many people share my experience. Does anyone use the help button?

Howdy.

I downloaded your latest 1.33 preview 64x.

Immediately fell in love with the viewer, until I changed clothes. Then my avatar textures went nuts. My chest and legs are not the correct skin textures, the top being pink, and the bottom being brown. I have the latest video drivers, checked again today just to make sure. Fiddled around with it as much as possible, but could not figure out how to make it work.

Edit : Tested in Exodus and LL Viewer, only Nirans has this issue.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

ATI Card issue , im trying to sort that out since weeks...

both viewers are not hit by this issue as both are "outdated" compared to my viewer

only solution i´ve found that might help you is setting RenderMaxTextureIndex in Debug Settings to 0 and do a restart , it might help you
(NV - Advanced - Debug Settings)
if this fixes this issue please let me know , a lot of other ATI people having this issue , if this is the fix i can set this to be default on ATI

I had that exact problem. I made a thread crying about it but noone knew what to do Skin texture bug, anyone have a tip? . My problem wasn't just in Nirans though it was all viewers. Anyways for me it fixed after uninstalling everything then installing and uninstalling just official viewer like five times (over some days).

Is it no longer possible to revert to the old controls behavior in 1.33? I tried the edits recommended for 1.32, but they didn't seem to have any affect.

fixed getUUIDs and Copy RLV Restrictions aswell as tweaked FXAA a tiny bit , it looks a little bit better now , which cannot be seen without a direct comparison pic , but it should be said that i think not even 32xAA would look better and especially not with THAT SPEED

GOOD NEWS FOR ATI USERS!
it seems that i found the problem why ATI is rendering some body parts pink , i will hand a test version out to someone with the problem and see if it fixes it for him , if it does , i will make the link public!

OBJECTION!

Nope. Didnt help sadly... seems like i will have to put on a sign that says "ATI Users beware of absolute incompatibility!"

Funny, I never had that problem with my ATI card, just missed that graphics slider. And now that I have a nVidia card I still miss it at times, just because it would be nice to be able to easily switch between settings for regular and high-lag areas as necessary.

For high lag areas, disable "Deferred rendering" and that pretty much blows any slider settings out of the water. Turn it back on when things are clear and all the other goodies turn back on too.

the slider is already in since 1.33 first preview but i said that already!

AND

its MARKED as DANGEROUS

and my official answer to all Quality/Performance slider related bugs will be
"Why did you even use it? its marked as DANGEROUS , use it at your own risk!"

No, unfortunately that doesn't fix the issue but even if it did, it would not be a viable workaround as it reduces FPS considerabley, as much as 18 fps on my computer.

That's a pity. As I mentioned before, I do see this bug on the LL viewers but a rebake fixes it immediately so it's not really a problem. Can you not ask LL how they do this as they must have some fix in the code?

Well, thanks for all the work you've done trying to fix it and hopefully it will just come right some day. I use your viewer whenever I don't intend changing clothes or skin but if I do, I have to use the LL viewer.

In many standard viewers, I liked being able to bring up a chat entry box and chat history at the same time, using the CTRL-H key combination. Having to do ENTER then a mouse click on the history arrow in the chat box to get the same arrangement always seems awkward and tedious to me. Call Chat whatever you want, but give us that CTRL-H functionality again. Pretty please with sugar on it.

i think THIS speaks for itself!

sadly i cannot find a way to force the history to open when pressing CTRL + H , so i will instead suggest you what you should do to emulate a similar behavior. Open chat , open History. Done. No Joke , close Chat and Press CTRL + H and it will open with active Chat History again
