I'm still laughing over this. A welcome sign? Really?! WHY?

Sounds totally stupid but it just reminds me of the dumb shit I did when I was younger and had to fess up to it. "Well...except for that one time when I......but it was FUNNY!"

Ok...I'm done laughing....Adult mode kicking in "NO MORE STEALING WELCOME SIGNS!"

You're a copybotter!
The only time I ever used the import / export functions in my own viewer was to mock my friends' avatars with their consent, or back up my own stuff. And also to steal that sign from the welcome area, but that was just funny.
But.. but.. I was at the rezzed.tv interview and he was forced to admit, under fierce cross-examination from one of the Emerald groupies in the after show discussion, that he hadn't actually asked if the person who'd given him the av he was wearing had got permission to use all the textures in it. Which I am sure we all agree makes him an evil copybotter.

No doubt about that, Hazim has never really minced words that I can remember that he's done some bad stuff. I just find it funny about the welcome sign. Again, I realize I should NOT be laughing about that. It just strikes me as something funny....a welcome sign? I mean...REALLY?! As in "what the hell would possess someone to steal a damn welcome sign?!"

Was it S20? Because I had this issue, a long time back. Back on S19, which is old. The "unsupported graphics card" warning on login is a feature of 1.23.5 when you have a newer graphics card and it simply didn't recognise it. You can safely dismiss it, and adjust your graphics settings inworld accordingly in preferences.

Current versions of S20 don't have these issues, not for a long time.

"Well, then," the Cat went on, "you see, a dog growls when it's angry, and wags its tail when it's pleased. Now I growl when I'm pleased, and wag my tail when I'm angry. Therefore I'm mad."

"I call it purring, not growling," said Alice.

"Call it what you like," said the Cat.

And Kirsten updated the gpu_table.txt so it recognizes a lot more cards. Looks like it came from LL. Some are in there with incorrect settings but at least you don't get the message.

Your right Ann, because people will totally trust their password to me now won't they? Then again emerald was pretty popular.

Judging from the way the emerald fans behave they will write their passwords on their foreheads backwards and send you the pics.

The Phoenix Viewer chat is not a good place to re-instill faith in humanity.

Can you give us a bit more detail please?
Some (not computer savvy) friends who were Emerald users are planning to change to Phoenix, so I'd like to know whether to warn them off it.

I'm not sure since I'm not a coder but I think there's a release already of this so called Yeti Viewer. I downloaded the zip file but it's like the source. LOL! I have no knowledge of compiling viewers though.

There likely won't be binaries for another month, or whenever 2.1.2 is released. There are still too many crashes to release it.

I thought Yeti was a great name -- as in searching for something no one has yet found. There seems to be a lot of negativity toward Hazim here but it is not really clear why.

Considering his past I think he's been very well treated here.

No fun fighting with/openly mocking someone that's relatively rational

I've only known him in this forum, where I've been very grateful for his contributions. He's provided a lot of valuable information, backed up by evidence and links to various resources - often stuff we would never have known if it weren't for Hazim. His opinions seem to be based logically on real evidence, so worth reading.
By his own admission he has been a bit naughty occasionally in his youth, but never wicked or malicious, from what I gather.
So. yes, if he provides a viewer which he says is compliant with LL's ToS and the TPV rules, I'd be inclined to trust it.

Hazim was a bit of a griffer, but so was I. He has my vote.

TOS compliant, yes. TPV compliant, I'm not sure. They keep saying that the message builder violates section 1a, but I'm going to have to talk to someone about that. Plenty of time, as there's no binaries yet anyways.

It's like an addiction. You can stop for a while, out of boredom, frustration and such..but it comes back to haunt you. There comes the moment when you are using some client, and something makes you go 'wtf this is retarded. It should be changed!'.

And then, you just do it
