My Mood: ![]() Client: I try all of them. | Catznip Viewer Updates ! Catznip R10.0, as per The Catznip Viewer Team's Blog (1/30/2016): Catznip R10 is a long overdue update that brings the viewer right up to date with all the latest from Linden Lab and fixes several issues from R9. A huge thank you to everyone who has stuck with us since the last release (20 months previous!), as those close to the project will know it has been a long and difficult time with altogether too many health issues. Things are finally heading back in the right direction ![]() At this time we only have a Windows release, Linux will follow shortly. Due to a lack of time and suitable hardware we are unable to build, test and debug an OS X version to the standard our users would expect from Catznip. At this point it seems unlikely that there will be future OS X versions of the viewer. Thanks to those who have offered remote access or to build the viewer on our behalf. My Mood: ![]() Client: Catznip, Second Life Viewer 1.19.0.5 | Inconsistent derendering, and the broken muting function is presumably still not fixed -- at least there's nothing mentioned in the list of fixed bugs. Default upload permissions are still not working either and there are some more or less annoying UI issues like unclickable buttons. Oh well, it's a .0 release. Let's hope 10.1 won't take another 18 months. |

My Mood: ![]() Client: Catznip, Second Life Viewer 1.19.0.5 | Muting works after clearing the existing mute list. Some more bugs: - URL highlighting is broken - The "current color" field in the color picker doesn't update unless you first click on one of the predefined colors in the two bottom rows. |

| *waves* Thanks for the feedback ![]()
I really hope it won't be another 18 months either ![]() (Edit to add that the JIRA/feedback floater/my IMs are really the best way to get in touch since relying on someone to poke me that there's a post to look at here is a bit hit-and-miss ![]() |

My Mood: ![]() Client: Catznip, Second Life Viewer 1.19.0.5 | Hi Kitty: 1) Derendering: Yes, that's what I meant 2) Muting: As mentioned above: After clearing the list of muted people and re-populating it, muting works now as intended 3) Upload Permissions: Yes, that's the one 4) Unclickable buttons: English locale, but I'm not logged in right now. I will check which floaters and which buttons had an issue 5) URL highlighting: the Highlighting ends after the first "/" character (i.e.: http://www.wherever.foo/bar/baz - the bar/baz part doesn't get highlighted). This doesn't impact the click function, though. 6) Try this: rez an untinted prim, right-click-edit, -> Texture -> Color. The "current color" is white (255/255/255). If you now click a random color in the large rainbow field, neither the "current color" field nor the prim gets updated. Likewise for an all-black prim. If you click on one of the predefined colors in the two bottom rows, the color gets updated and afterwards choosing a color from the rainbow field works as well. More when I'm logged in again. |

It is the same in the official viewer since ... a long time now.

![]() If you'll be using the feedback floater don't worry too much about descriptions. I tend to dress them up a bit before converting them to normal CATZ issues anyway; most important part is having a "to do" list I don't accidentally throw in the trash when I clean my desk ![]() Quote:
It is actually working; if you look to the far right of the floater you'll notice that the brightness slider is up to 100% making every colour clicked white. Clicking on a pre-defined colour then changes the brightness slider making it appear like it all works. I agree that that feels broken though and I'll have a poke at making it behave a bit more like you'd expect it to. --- Everything else except the URL handling is on my "to do" for R10.1 (or R10.something) so I'll get to it soon-ish (faster than 18 months in any case). | ||

My Mood: ![]() Client: Catznip, Second Life Viewer 1.19.0.5 | We're talking Catznip here, and in R9 the URL highlighting did NOT cut off after the "/" character. I don't care if it is like that in the current official viewer. In the last Catznip release it wasn't the case, so for Catznip it's, if not a bug, at least a regression. |

My Mood: ![]() Client: I try all of them. | Catznip R11, as per Kitty Barnett : This release brings Catznip right up-to date with new LL features including Bento (new avatar bones), Jelly Dolls, Graphics presets, HTTP co-routines, LibVLC, OpenJPEG, voice improvements and a lot of bug fixes. We also have a new 'Quick preferences' floater providing access to local rendering, avatar complexity, wearing and windlight options. RLVa has seen more incremental updates and can now be enabled without needing to restart the client. Important note : Linden Lab's Bento project (new avatar bones) is not backwards compatible with previous viewers and as such all previous versions will be blocked in the near future. Please update to R11 at your earliest convenience and get in touch to resolve any issues. Continued... |
