The report says "by 2013". I don't think a virtual world of the nature of
SL, where content creation is free for all, will still exist by 2013, because of the problem of content theft. I suspect that the environment will be very different by then. I expect more corporate users will be using standalone grids, or ones like Blue Mars where content is controlled.
So I don't think highly customised avatars will be as common then as they are now, particularly for business. You'll pick your hair and your outfit from an approved list.
