It looks like they just added guilds today - I wonder how they work. If they are as screwy as the buddy list/chat window is, they won't be very useful. So far there is not an
SLU one that I know of - I am not sure how many people still play. I've been holding off for a bit while I play the Sims 3 and some other stuff, but I do still play FR and I am looking forward to the improvements they will make.
