| An object could be composed of prims, created by one person, have scripts in it (created by, and the copyright of a second person), an animation in it (created by, and the copyright of a 3rd person) and have textures applied that are created by, and the copyright of a fourth or more persons. Some of these scripts/animations/textures may be open source, acquired under license, or simply ripped.
Yet, the only 'Creator' info is that for the maker of the prims. This is a serious shortcoming. The core developers over at Opensim have had long discussions on extending the creator info (which could include several names, in the case of a collaborative build), and including copyright and licensing info too for the additional stuff.
Second Inventory could find themselves with a lot more updating to do in the future.
