Are you using the actual
SL avatar poser figures? Also, when doing sit poses, the thing I've found that speeds up doing them is to start with one of the sit poses from the library and go from there - trying to get it right manually is a pain. Also, when you have the pose, hit CTRL-D to drop the actor to the floor - it also helps with the offset a bit.
