You might also want to look into getting a "babbler" a free translator.
Also consider popping into the club when not working at different times to see what time slots seem the most crowded. As a new dancer you may be stuck with the worst shift time as a filler. No offense meant by that term, but that's what a lot of clubs do. Once you put in some time, you should be able to switch to a better time slot.
Also, think about whether you really want to do this. I was a host for a friend's club for a while and was darn good at it. I was very lucky if I broke $1000 Linden in a night including the $400 I got paid. People tip in world like its a real US $20 bill and not the $20 Linden worth just a penny or two. every now and then you 'll get a decent tipper that throws you a few hundred Linden but thats not enough to have kept me there. Do you really want to work two hours of real life time for $2 US plus a few lindens worth of tips?
Better angle would be to pick up a trade making stuff and throw wares on Onrez and XstreetSL . Nothing is better then pulling up that site and finding your balance higher as a result of some sales.
However keep in mind you can only sell what you take the time to list--I've been slacking on some of my better things I've developed since the first items I put there. Some really cool retro 1948-late 50's working TV sets--especially a cool console model with doors that function
