I don't think posting an example here will help that much (though it probably couldn't hurt...much. I promise not to bite too hard). Emotes really are a situational thing.
Being in a popular club may also make it harder to get a foothold, since you are competing with a lot of other girls for attention and customers get distracted by advertising and the size of the place.
You may want to look around for a smaller niche club, while staying employed at your curent place. Look for one that is geared toward a more mature
SL crowd, prefferably where the owner isn't looking just to turn a profit. These types of clubs usually aren't that big, aren't in the top search spots, and don't have much, if any, advertising and shopping. Becomming a regular at one of these kinds of places usually will make all the difference in the world if you end up working there.
