| Reminds me of what happened right after the gambling ban.
There was a report of Lindens arriving in an area, Python-Spanish-Inquisition-style, scanning the place, and deleting any objects they found to be in violation. One resident had objects deleted that he had previously altered to comply with the gambling ban. He asked one of the Lindens in question about why his object was deleted, thinking he could get more information about how he might be in violation, but was summarily directed to the LL Blog for available information. The Linden said he could not review the object in question, or, Catch-22-style, tell anything about how gaming objects might be in violation or not, and the Linden would not make any statements about LL policy.
Which to me says, LL likes to keep a foot on either side of any controversy, so as not to upset anyone. They can't make statements about policy, because their actual policy doesn't make sense. So they just make the occasional arbitrary move to keep up appearances.
