I can understand laws against child pornography, since that obviously harms children. I'm not sure I understand the laws against all the rest, though, since I'm not seeing how children (or anyone, really) is being harmed, but clearly my poli sci degree has failed to prepare me to understand the intricacies of the law here.
What I think Robin (and anyone else selling child skins) should do, in protest, is put up their signs with the kids wearing burkhas, and then put a sign next to it or give out a notecard explaining why. Hell, show up to office hours wearing the burkhas too.
If you're looking for good burkhas, I'd recommend the International House of Style. I have no affiliation with them, but I've bought other international outfits from them before and they're very good. I think, if memory serves, they sell burkhas and abayas. |
