A few months have passed since I first posted this, and more and more
SL people join Plurk every day. I think that you might be surprised at the number of people plurking daily. May be a way to reconnect with people you lost touch with, or a new way to meet
SL people. I've met a bunch of new people on there, some really nice people.

Another benefit that you might consider, your own page is entirely CSS driven, so you can customize it completely, including background images. So it can really be a great showcase for your avatar. (Show your style, anyone?)
