At the risk of being pedantic (one of my failings), these weren't "brought into" Photoshop. These are the original photoshop files, the skin art as created by Eloh, which is what makes them such an invaluable resource for those of us who lack the talent to create our own from scratch.

The advantage these files have, over a ripped texture pulled into Photoshop, is that we have access to the dozens of layers that affect every aspect of a skin, and we can mod at a very granular level. Whereas with a ripped texture file, you can only edit a single layer, and mods are much coarser or more difficult to make.
