That said, people here on SLU live all over the goddamn place. I'm looking for recommendations in the USA for places to move. (I know the economy sucks. Whatever you do, do NOT move to Northern California anywhere north of Sacramento... Unless you love the heat.
Summer starts here around mid-April and ends around mid-October. The average summer temperature is around 95 degrees between June and September, with heat waves above 104 lasting about 6-8 days at a stretch. A couple of weeks ago we had a high of 114 with a record high low of 85.
It was *HOT*!
So, if you love it hot, pick Northern California. Otherwise, stay away.
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention the forest fires that lasted for over 6 weeks... Do you like to smoke... A LOT?
