Business: She's So Unusual Shoes

My Mood:

I love Dayton. But I also hate it. Eh.. it's a toss up. Housing is totally CHEAP. Would you expect a $200,000 home to be 3000sq ft and in a GREAT neighborhood? We're pretty close to Cincinnati for all the nightlife stuff and concerts and such. We have an airport! It's international! It's pretty cheap too!
We have some great parks and rec, a city busline, major highways.
Summers are hot and humid... Winters are freakin cold. But we always seem to be on the edge. Cincy will get 95 degrees and we'll be.. 90... or Columbus will get 25 inches of snow and we'll just get enough for the kids to go sledding. Even the tornados seem to miss us. Oh! We had a just BARELY feelable earthquake a few months ago.
We have a great system to keep the area from flooding. Soo.. yeah.. no mudslides, wildfires, tsumanis, earthquakes, tornados, floods, hurricanes, blizzards, ice storms, or anything that might actually put you on the weather channel.
My roommate moved here from Maine, and she's always telling me that people are so friendly here. I dunno, I think it's a Midwestern thing. We're just darn friendly people. :}

Here's a link to help you out Dayton Daily News | Dayton, Ohio, News and Information

The best parts of town are Kettering, Beavercreek, Miami Twp, Miamisburg, West Carrollton, Springboro, Centerville, Bellbrook, Sugarcreek.
Avoid West Dayton. Avoid old North Dayton. Avoid East Dayton. Prices there are cheap, but they deserve to be cheap. Warren County, just south of Dayton, was named one of the fastest growing counties recently.

Enjoy!
