Xio your original post was more along the lines of the first instance, although it might be viewed as mocking or ridicule depending on the reader. I certainly didnt read it that way but some of the subsequent posts were definitely less ummm friendly for want of a better word.
I have no idea who the creator is, and I have no idea if they poured their heart and soul into its design or not. As far as I am concerned thats not relevant. I just think the laughing and rolling of eyes in a public forum makes
SLU look unfriendly, superior (in the worst way) and cliquey and thats not really who we are....
ETA: There is nothing wrong with having an opinion. However I dont see why opinions
have to be voiced in a public forum - surely they are just as valid if shared privately? Tact is greatly under-utilised on the net and I have NEVER understood why...
