Saliva can "dribble" from our mouths (especially when I see pics of Clive Owen without a shirt).
But she was talking about "mindless drivel", which definitely fits the definition: "childish, silly, or meaningless talk or thinking; nonsense; twaddle".
I know English can be a difficult language even for native English speakers, but this is one of those oft-used malapropisms that drives me batshit. Right up there with "for all intensive purposes" instead of "for all intents and purposes".
