It all depends for me. I do have some deeply etched grudges against certain people--but they stem from some major F'overs or family situations in RL that merit that long lasting deathgrip
As far as chat rooms, web pages and bulletin boards. Not a lot phases me. I'm as subtle as a sledghammer sometimes and have been known to start something knowing exactly what to expect as far as a reaction from someone who rubs me the wrong way, then kick back and watch the fun.
I am fully aware of how much aggravation this may coause the moderator(s) as I was one myself on quite a few boards in my day. But sometimes ya just gotta do it--especially when the other person is practically begging to be schooled.
I think the type of grudge that I find the toughest to deal with is that borne by another against you for apparently no good reason. I don't dwell on this--but have a hard time with trying to understand the "why" of it since it is that unusual to me.
Maybe they read a post you put up that you thought was hilarious and they took to heart because you managed to hit their one nerve of angst and insecurity dating back to their teenage years? Who knows, cause usually that kind of grudge bearer never gives you the chance to explain or educate them as to where you are coming from.
So my personality being what it is, when I know I have someone like that in my audience, I go outta my way to get to them and pour a little salt in the wound
Childish and yet immensely satisfying as well--especially if you can get them to "lose it"
Other than that I'm a WYSIWYG kinda guy. I will let you know where you stand with me and pride myself on honesty, honor and doing the right thing. I'll never pull a two face act on anyone--If I don't like you and you do not mess with me, I'll just leave ya alone, but woe to you if you cross me
I don't hold too many grudges but I do enjoy making people understand the error of their ways--sometimes I even do so nicely
