Sure it does, but I think most of this obsession with flatness is just unfamiliarity with building and lack of an eye for design. Most people live in suburbs with flat, cookie cutter lawns- or apartments with no lawns at all. A lot of people tend to just do what they know, and have to work within their own skill sets. It takes work to make an irregular or hillside lot "work" but can be wonderful if you take the time to do it. But as much as I'd like my tenants to be more creative, I'd rather not have to hand-hold each one with landscaping and building matters.
