Yeah, my scooter mad housemate who was also a mechanical engineer broke it down for me somewhere along those lines. It was compounded with these guys because they heavily modded their Lambrettas and Vespas to go hella fast for a scooter, as well as all sorts of crazy chopper type setups. Fun though.
