The Avengina Project; gorgeous browser based worlds

I'm really impressed with this, even though it isn't an SL competitor. It is a browser based VW package with full lighting and shadowing - in many ways, it looks better than SL, and is done entirely in Java. Here's an article on it:

Avengina Project puts gorgeous 3D worlds in your browser | Webware : Cool Web apps for everyone - CNET

Here's their web site:

Avengina International - jogl 3d engine - Home

And here's a demo you can check out - very basic, but still, it looks great! I think there's a lot of potential here:

Avengina International - jogl 3d engine - Launch configuration

I think this looks better than Lively or WebFlock, graphically, but it doesn't seem to have avatars. It seems to be more of a "presentation tool." What do y'all think so far?

Regards,

-Flip
