Saying you don't have sound on isn't dishonest Arilynn. If you don't feel comfortable with people asking you about your deafness, that is probably the most benign way to get around the subject. Until or unless you want to share that knowledge with someone, and you feel comfortable enough to deal with their questions, deflecting that way is perfectly reasonable.
