Honestly, this baffles me. From where I sit, you owe a personal debt to the people who made it possible for you to do things like, oh... marry a white woman? Considering that it hasn't been even two generations yet... how can you not feel invested?
How can you not feel impelled to do at least your part to make sure those changes stick and progress?
