I think you handled that very nicely, and it as recieved well too, I think. Which is how it should be.
One of my biggest complaints of
Sl is the attitudes of so many residents, who seem to have to make a point to judge other peoples motivations for being there while asserting their way is the only valid way. It can be be from the "realists" to whom you should be in
SL exactly what you are in RL, or from artists who feel that anyone who isn't creating something is not worthy, or from the business types who see
SL as only a way to make a buck, or the techno elite who look down on others as bacwards or lazy, or from the judgemental types who feel that any activity or behavior that they don't partake in is wrong.
My favorites are those who do live on a fringe, yet still cast aspersions on the other fringes. One classic was a Vampire type who showed up on the LL board, slamming goreans and several other groups as wierd or immoral, yet claimed her behavior was a "Lifestyle", therefore acceptable.
