In fact a lot of Democrats used to remark how they admired McCain. And how they wished more Republicans followed his example

Now that he's the nominee and facing off against a democrat though he is all of a sudden some stodgy conservative who plays dirty election tricks and is just another Bush.

How the heck did this all come about?

Was the old hyped up media image of McCain wrong? Or is the new Hyped up media image of McCain wrong?
