I am happy to announce that the first phase of support for image uploads to Snapzilla launched yesterday. In addition to sending snapshots from
SL, registered users can now upload images from their hard drive in JPG, PNG and GIF format up to 400k in size. You can upload multiple images at once, add titles and descriptions during upload.
To get started with uploading, use the Upload Images link on the left side Snapzilla navigation menu. A new link has also been added to go directly to your uploads. The snapshot viewer also now has the option to switch between snapshots and uploads.
Commenting support is active, though the comments for uploads do not yet show in latest comments but they do show on the uploads themselves. Album support is not yet enabled but will be later today. Title and description editing, as well as tagging, is also coming later day.
Please try out the new upload functionality and provide your feedback. You can delete images you have uploaded by going into the detail page for the upload and using the delete icon.
Check out the
Snapzilla Twitter Feed for further development info.
