I have a female av in sl and am female in real life, when signing up it didn't dawn on me to do any different, but a few months later a friend and I were chatting ( a male friend) about the lack of quality freebies that males can find compared to some of the amazing freebies women can get. So I signed up a male alt and was given a challenge of sorts to come up with a not so noobish look.. without spending a linden.
I managed to do it ok, there is a lot of rubbish freebies out there... but it was fun. I use my male alt for photographing male clothes now, I don't so much use it for socialising as such.
