| Vendors: There's pluses and minuses here, and the biggest plus is that you can offer a lot of products for minimal prim outlay.
But as Josh said, there have been some security exploits in the past. I'm never comfortable assuming there will never be any again.
I've also seen some vendor layouts that were not real intuitive - some customers are lowest-common-denominator on the intelligence scale and unless it's a box you just right click and 'buy', they're going to struggle a bit.
Toss in lag and slow rezzing textures during heavy load times and I'm not convinced that a scripted vendor is the best solution. It has its uses, but to me most of them are in specific situations.
I much prefer browsing individual placards - if you offer multiple colors of the same outfit, having colored buttons along one side of the display is good enough. I always appreciate clean, uncluttered layouts.
