I too have several alts that I use mostly for role play and stalking errr I mean…umm group land.
Anyway sometimes it’s just nice to return to the quiet anonymity I once enjoyed as a newbie and have no interrupting IMs. I have two alts that are female, and one of those I keep on one of the non- public Orientation Islands to help the newbies out.
I do highly recommend creating at least one alt of the opposite gender, just for the experience.
I really get a kick out of running multiple sessions of
SL at the same time, and have held conversations with people who had no idea it was the same person running both avatars.
Once me and an old girl friend of mine had 4 alts each on at the same time. One of her neighbors came over and had no idea that only two people were controlling 8 avatars.
