Either out your alt to all your friends or avoid running in the same social circles. It's the overlap without disclosure that is considered to be deception and poor ethics.
Everyone who is a Friend of my first
SL account knows that I also run Beebo (who began as a testing alt). Although, at this point, my poor main only has about 5 Friends.
