About promoting and favoritism...it may seem unfair to promote a company or ad more than another...but that's business. It's good to be King, and it's also good to be his friend. We are hypocrites if we don't agree with this. How many times have you been in a situation where you could cut a line because a friend was up front? How many times have you used the power of a friend to better your own scenario? That's life...
I quickly became friends with a sim owner when I came into
SL...I made my services invaluable and extremely cheap...and because of this, now I pay very little rent, and have twice the prim count as other renters. Is this fair? Perhaps not. Do you blame me or the sim owner for this favoritism? Not if you're being a realist.
If you want to be given favors, go out and make them happen. Take initiative. If you play your cards right, you too can reap the benefits of knowing someone with power or connections. Don't bitch about people that have an 'in.' You create your own reality...if you want benefits above other people, find a way to make that happen. That's good business. Smart business.
