I'm sure that something happened, but it's really not possible to "steal" items from your inventory. Assets don't exist in finite copies. There's a reference to a pair of shoes in the database, and all other instances of those same shoes are just reflections off of that entry, even if they're no copy or not.
It could be some other exploit that bugs up other stuff, but my suggestion would be to file a support ticket with as much explanation as possible (and as little hyperbole and speculation as possible) so they can investigate it. |
Okay, you're right about me being still pissed about it. Might have done with some less effort in writing a story right here. I really wanted to check first on this
issue, then go on to reporting it with maybe some more information about things.
I do know how a database works by the way, but that's where the problem started for me to really get an idea of what happened. Even if it copied the prims and textures - why would it mess with the database?
I didn't really intend to send a support ticket after most harm was for me having to redo the final version of my item and buying new hair, I sent an abuse report and then poked JIRA, but, to be honest, I didn't want to make a post publically and I'm not even sure if there is a way to report bugs quietly. Which I might have wanted to look into, too. Beforehand.
Anyway, I know there's at least a few people here who know
SL way better than I do, and having a talk with those before reporting anything would surely help a lot. Well, I figured it would.
