Now, I am with you when we are talking about solo animations and poses that are only really appropriate in an AO and could only reasonably be used by one person - the owner. Making them no-copy just makes them difficult to use, and risky.
Beyond this though, what makes an animation different from any other product in Second Life? Why
must a couple's ball room dance be copyable? You think I should be able to rezz three dances in my club, one in my home, and one at my friends house? Would it be fair if an animator charged a little bit more for a copyable version of their couples animations?
I applaud creators that sell their items with copy permissions. My pianos are copyable. I take the risk that people will rezz multiple pianos, in the hope that this is balanced out by making more customers happy.
But to suggest that anybody that sells an animation without copy perms is just greedy isn't fair in my opinion.
