I christen this time period of Second Life as "The Age of Drowning". Estates will sink back into the ocean of the grid more frequently than normal. The post land store bubble is popping.

But it isn't popping yet - New estate delivery is still up at around 600 regions per week .There was a peak of 1124 in the first week of the land store, then two weeks of c.800 - then for the past 7 weeks its been very constant at 520 to 644 per week. Estate delivery before the land store was c.300 a week. And they are not being abandoned in any significant numbers, that figure is reasonably steady at 50 per week .
Whilst I do agree that there is too much mainland I think people should understand the phenomenal growth in private estates since mid March - During that period LL added 646 Mainland regions (14% growth) - The net growth in Estates over the same period was 8050 (a 60% increase).
