I was browsing the internet, as I usually do late into the night.

I noticed that something didn't look "right" in my room, something with the lighting. Then I noticed that there was a large standing shadow in the corner which, considering the moonlight was shining in the window across from it, shouldn't have been there. I blinked my eyes a couple times, to clear my vision in case my contacts were messing with me. I looked back, and the shadow was still standing there, directly across from me, in the corner.

I stared at it for quite some time, unsure how to handle it. It just stood there, defying the natural world by being partly in a patch of moonlight.

I looked back over to my monitor and noticed this message written in all caps:

"CAN YOU MAKE IT TO THE LIGHT SWITCH BEFORE I GRAB YOU?"
