At the end of the day, I'm selling the WHOLE avatar though, not just a part or two. And with only a 512x512 vendor panel to work with, and lots of customers who can't cam-in.. (it's an intermediate skill).. I have to really "show" the product in only a couple of pics. That's why I use the ER template, it assures me of getting SOME text out there, permissions, prim count, etc.. but gives me MOST of the vendor for pics. Still, it's not a lot of space.

In the end, I had to simply focus on pics that "sold" the avatar as a package. And that left out the wonderful details in the hair, the jetpack flames, all of that stuff.

Here's some more pics, at Lucifer's insistance.. for you to peruse when making that price-point vote.

Jetpack effect. NO PARTICLES. This is really my first attempt to use "glow".. the results, I think, are better than ANYTHING I've done so far with particles. For those who can't see Glow.. I did spend a bit of time texturing and primming the flames. (3 prims each). The jets and sound effects WILL work in no-script zones.. something that I spent 2 days working out.

This is the "package hair".. the avatar's skull is actually designed to work with most prim hair. (I have a hair from Armidi that I just ADORE with this avatar). You can see that the back of the hair has quite a bit of detail that you just don't see on the vendor art. The hair is moddable, and the "strips" are actually white, and then tinted red in the box, so hair colour can be easily changed. (one of the reasons I buy "blonde" or "silvers" hair packages almost exclusively).

This is what she looks like with "Dynamic Reflections" turned on. I really liked some of the effects, but since it's a debug setting, I felt it would be dishonest to show this effect on the vendor art.

More dynamic reflections.

So much of this avatar is about how it fits together, how it moves.. and for that, pictures won't really do the job. I'm strongly considering hosting a bot to "model" the avatar in my shop, so people can SEE it for themselves.

FULL OF WIN
