But the ending didn't make sense. I could forgive this if it somehow demonstrated the themes that had been merely talked about earlier -- you know, if it added actual depth to the movie -- but it doesn't do that, either.
But really, creators need to make sure they're able to finish their plots. "They ran out of time" isn't an excuse -- if it's too long to fit into one movie, then it needs to be simplified. People who convert books to movies do this all the time.
