Actually, I've been thinking a lot about this, too. I've got some freebies up on SLX, at least one of which is full perms (prim and script) so that other people can look at it, mod it themselves, and so on. And I know for a fact that, being full perms, it also gets given to people in-world that never bought it for L$0 on SLX.
