Er. no. This isn't about women who are naturally thin..I don't see why that should be a concern at all. Actually the consensus here is to embrace your natural body shape, be it thin or well rounded. And heck, if you want to look different, do so though safe means. A good diet, or workouts, or whatever. And as I said, I don't even care if somebody, through their own decisions, puts their body into the unhealthy areas. it's their decision, their body.

One side issue of this discussion is how some people out there ridicule everybody who doesn't meet the beauty ideal even remotely, which is just plain stupid and shallow-minded. Said beauty ideal seems to come mostly from fashion models (who tend to be females which are way above average height, while going towards a relatively low weight, so yes..it is 'unrealistic' to strive for those proportions. You can't just make yourself suddenly grow), hollywood superstars, models for cosmetics and musicstars. All in all people with a truckload of surgeons, fashion designers and/or make-up artists behind them. I think it's rediculous to expect anybody to strive for that.

But the big issue here are groups like those pro-ana groups that -promote- unhealthy abuse of the body while completely disregarding or even denying the health issues. They abuse the psyche of the anorexic girls which in reality for the most part hate their body, their illness, and know darn well just what is happening to them...by telling them they are beautiful, that everybody else is fat, and that they should -live out- and support their illness.
